GRAM

Physical Piece & Handoff

How digital ownership and the real-world piece relate to each other during claim and transfer flows.

Digital ownership

Digital ownership is the platform state showing which account a GRAM is linked to.

The physical piece

The physical piece is the real-world object associated with that GRAM. It is an important part of the product and should be treated as the authority in real-world interactions.

Why both matter

Claim and transfer flows can update digital ownership in the platform, but real-world possession is still separate. If the physical piece is changing hands, that handoff should also happen in real life when applicable.

What the platform can confirm

The platform can confirm digital ownership state. Real-world handoff should be handled by the people involved.
