Privacy & Safety
How we protect users, why the physical Gram matters, and what data is (and isn’t) stored.
Why the physical Gram matters
A Gram of Art is a physical-first collectible. The digital experience exists to support the physical object — not replace it.
- The physical Gram is required to claim ownership.
- The physical Gram is required to redeem perks.
- Screenshots or photos are not accepted.
Important:
If you don’t have the physical Gram with you, perks cannot be redeemed.
Protection against misuse
The system is designed to reduce fraud and misuse through a mix of digital checks and human verification.
- Each Gram can only be claimed once.
- Perks can only be approved by partner staff.
- Staff visually confirm the physical Gram before approval.
- Cooldowns prevent rapid repeat redemptions.
What information is stored
Only the minimum information required to make the system work is stored.
- Your customer account ID (to link Grams to you)
- Which Grams you own
- Perk redemption timestamps
Note:
We do not store credit card details or payment information as part of the Gram system.
What is not stored
- No location tracking
- No background NFC scanning
- No access to your phone beyond the tap interaction
- No personal browsing data from your device
Your responsibility as an owner
Owning a Gram means taking care of the physical piece.
- Keep your Gram safe.
- Do not share photos as proof of ownership.
- Bring the physical Gram when redeeming perks.
Important:
Lost or damaged Grams may not be replaceable.
