Redeeming Perks
How perks work at partner locations, what to do at the counter, and what “cooldown” means.
What a perk is
Some Grams include perks offered by partner businesses. A perk can be a free item, a discount, or a special benefit available to Gram owners.
Important:
Perks are redeemed using the physical Gram. Screenshots or photos are not accepted.
Before you go to a partner
- Bring the physical Gram.
- Check your collection to see which partners offer perks.
- Note any limits or cooldowns listed for the perk.
Tip:
You don’t usually need your phone to redeem — the partner can validate by tapping the Gram.
At the counter (step-by-step)
- Tell staff you’d like to redeem a perk.
- Hand over the physical Gram.
- The staff member taps the Gram with their device.
- The validation screen confirms the perk.
- The staff approves the redemption.
Important:
Staff will visually match the digital image with the physical Gram before approving.
Cooldowns & limits
Some perks can only be used once, or have a cooldown period before they can be redeemed again.
- Single-use: The perk can be redeemed once.
- Cooldown: The perk becomes available again after a set time.
Tip:
If a perk is on cooldown, simply wait until the timer finishes before redeeming again.
Common questions
Do I need to log in at the counter?
No. In most cases the partner can validate by tapping the physical Gram.
Can I redeem a perk without the Gram?
No. The physical Gram is required to redeem perks.
The perk didn’t work — what now?
Ask staff to try tapping again. If it still fails, check Troubleshooting.
